photography

At right is yours truly, Brother Charlie, photographed sometime during my first full day on the planet.  I entered this world on a Monday, which may have at least a little to do with that look of mildly shocked concern on my face. I could also easily interpret the somewhat baffled stare to be reflective of a notion running possibly through my mind at the time, akin to "What have I gotten myself into, this time?". That would become a recurring internal query.

On the other hand, it is a well-established piece of family lore that this hospital snap-shot was followed later that same week by my mother asking that I be brought to her from the nursery, only to be informed that I "was busy down the hall, having coffee with the nurses"!  Another recurring theme.

The DC-3 "Gooney-Bird" is simply the most beautiful aircraft ever built.  Just sitting there on the apron, it looks ready to jump up and fly!

I got this shot while ambling on Dartmoor, not far from Blytheswood Hostel, Devon, England

Sometimes, I fancy myself being a capable photographer - but actually I'm mostly only lucky, sometimes!

I happened upon this interesting
juxtaposition of commercial interests
near the California/Oregon border

That's just one of the three blades for a new wind turbine, being transported to the installation site

And this is just one part of the pylon that the head and blades will be mounted on

I like trying to shoot small things, though, too
