Couple of nights ago, I was continuing with catching up on the chores around here, checking in particular to confirm whether the original hyperlinks were all still working, after so little attention in the last few years gone by. And I got to this one that was still working fine, taking the inquisitive Sister or Brother to just the website I'd originally intended.
But something had changed, in me. I mean, I reckon so. Because the website I was originally linking to just didn't any longer, you know, "harmoniously resonate" with my spirit. I moved - take my word for it, uncharacteristically - right into finding a new place for the hyperlink to point to, one that would take a seeker to somewhere I felt really good about suggesting. (click on that wonderful sepia-toned illustration over there on the right margin, picturing a laughing "Jesus" to explore the new destination)
Soooo, anyway, I'm celebrating having found not only a very groovy site that's focused on the beautiful, original teachings of the Fisher of Men. Its also my celebration of finding there further corroboration for a belief of mine that I posted about here not all that long ago - about the similarities in Buddha's and Yeshua's teachings.
AND THEN! I was surfing around for cool quotes to use for future posts, and on like only the third page of Google results, found a site devoted to the wisdom of the First Peoples of North America. Check it out! Black Elk, a spiritual leader of the Oglala Sioux, says the very same thing as Siddhartha and Yeshua did: at the center of the universe dwells Wakan-Tanka (the Great Spirit), and that this "center" is really everywhere, it is within each of us. The message seems to me just like that of the biblical promise of the Kingdom of God, Yours and My Enlightenment in the Dharma . Praise BE!
I'm so glad to be blogging again! I'm so grateful to have arrived at a new chapter in my life, in which I want to blog again. And feel moved to focusing on generating more Light, Hope & Love for myself, and All Who are in my life.
Namaste
