Ildar Khanov, the artist and philanthropist responsible for the founding and construction of the Temple of All Religions in Kazan, Tatarstan, has passed to Another Shore.

Tightly clustered on a small plot of land, his complex features several cupolas, minarets and spires representing the religious architecture of 12 major religions of the world.  However, no ceremonies are performed inside because it is not a functioning temple, but rather, as Khanov described its mission, a "temple of culture and truth".

Khanov believed that all religions are equal, and the Temple of All Religions was his way to bring them all under one roof.
